A Plea to Woman from the Sacred Masculine

Dear woman please do not hide behind the veil of the perceptions of your external physical beauty, for what is it but the momentary beauty of a rose that will wither and wilt as the autumn months bid fair well to summer.  Your true beauty lies within and  I do not wish you to be sad, to feel that you are less than and feel that your worth is ebbing away as your maiden years fall away.

Remember that what we have been programmed to recognise as external female beauty has been cultivated by patriarchy, by men who originally chose to disempower you and disguised this as fashion; these glossy magazines and media images are untruths that keep you from revealing the depth of who you truly are.  Do not be constrained by the prison bars of these lies for I see beneath the shapes and contours of your divine feminine form whatever shape it may take.

By all means honour yourself; take your time in front of the mirror to enhance the beauty that you are for a beautiful painting is always enriched by the frame that surrounds the artistic creation.

But know that your true magnificence shines and emanates from every cell of your being when you can embrace all of who you are in whatever form Creator has gifted you.

Do you know the deepest allure that a woman can hold?  It is the allure of vulnerability.  The courage to reveal all of who you are; your shadow and your light, for in this embrace something magical happens and your presence becomes magnetic and the fear that resides in me is transformed in the fire of attraction to your essence and I am a willing moth to your alchemy flame.

When you can embrace your darkness and peel away the layers of armour weight that you have worn for too long, the light that you are shines forth and I am bewitched by the magnificence of all of you.

Your jealousy, your pride, your fear, your anxiety that you are not enough as you stand now naked in the place that your life’s journey has brought you to, is the doorway to our union.

There is nothing that you need hide from me my love, for I see you because all these shadows are part of my dance too. When you accept yourself in your magnificently perfect imperfection then I can find you, I can reach you and we can merge as One.

Please take off the mask of nice and pretty and polite that perhaps you have forgotten you wear, since you have worn it for so long.  Good little girls,  nice girls cannot feel the depth of my love and adoration.  I do not want your nice goodness.  I want your ugliness, I want your wrath, I want to see the darkness that resides beneath the contours of your delicate skin.

Lay down your weapons of denial and your quick tongue that seeks to defend and parries my every request to show your beautiful messiness to me.  Do not believe the commentary of your mind. These defensive justifications are not yours but were imposed on you by your absorption in a world created by ignorant men who have forgotten the sacredness of life and are fearful of the power and radiance that you are.

Dear woman please do not hide from me any longer.  Come and bring all of you to be with me naked. Come and be with me, my love, and let us remember who we are.

The Divine Masculine Rides Out with the Blessing of the Divine Feminine

Although there is so much beauty in the world it is also apparent that there is a great deal of suffering and in many ways we live in a crazy world.   It is  Goethe who said:

‘None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.’

These words are painfully true; an uncomfortable truth that most would prefer not to see. And so while the unconscious masses continue their somnambulistic existence, perpetuated by the mass media and all our major institutions of power, millions of people, the planet and sentient beings  suffer needlessly.

This is the result of patriarchy; generations of leadership by boys in men’s bodies; men who are lost to the full spectrum of what is to be a whole, balanced man in union with the masculine and feminine polarities within himself. Men who have forgotten the sacredness of life and that every living thing and every molecule of the universe is connected; who have forgotten that we are all one and as we do to another we do unto ourselves.  These men who have lost touch with their hearts and so have lost their compassion, empathy, kindness.  Many of these men have abused their power over others instead of embodying their authentic sovereignty and using their power for protection and justice and service.

But all is not lost for there is an awakening of men that is now taking place across the world.  The darkest hour is always the one before the dawn and it is important to remember that there is more going on than we can perceive with our human senses and perhaps that which we can conceive with the limitations of our egoic minds.  We are living stories.  We are the knights and princesses in the fairy-tales and myths and great legends of old.  We are living the stories and the stories are living us. The modern fairy tales like The Matrix and Avatar remind us of the awakening of the sacred masculine through the kiss of the divine feminine.  Why have these movies been so successful?  Because deep inside we recognise the truth woven within the stories.

The fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty has been distorted by patriarchy.  It is She that awakens him with her love and not the other way around.

‘Wake up, my love,’ she says ‘It is time for us to return to our thrones together. Either we both take our rightful places together or not at all. I need you as much as you need me. Wake up my love.’

And she kisses him.

And it so is happening, men are returning home to be wed at the altar of inner union. With this marriage comes a reclaiming of the powers and abilities that have for too long lain dormant.  The lover, the warrior, the king and also the magician energy awakens within the sacred masculine and he sees, feels and knows that which for too long was dormant.  This energy dances within me ever more strongly as I keep putting one foot in front of the other, for this is the way that we forge this path that was lost and obscured for generations.

This energy is very much alive within me, I hear the call of Her and other men are feeling it too. I witness this amongst my brothers who are also deepening their commitment to doing their own inner shadow work so that we may all return home to love and truth and create a more beautiful world for our children, all children and those yet to come.

It is a time of hope but hope alone will not suffice.  We must be active in our hope and do whatever is needed so that we can truly become the change that we so desire from our loving hearts to see in the world.  This action by men must be guided by the soft strength of their internal feminine.  Our doing must be informed by what we feel in our hearts.  The divine feminine encourages us to step up, to ride out and regain that which was taken from us but to do so from a just and clear and noble place from within us.  If we get lost at times we can return to the intelligence of our hearts and allow this to be our internal compass in balance with the intelligence of our minds.

The divine feminine is alive within us and she will not let us fall back to sleep.  And it is not just men who have their work cut out right now!  In my work with women I see a pattern of how they are healing the divine masculine within.  They are courageously doing their shadow work and healing the wounds of patriarchy and the men who abandoned them or mistreated them and taught them that men were not be trusted.  Bit by bit we are learning to trust each other again.  This work is not for the faint of heart, it takes deep commitment, courage and self awareness to keep owning and transforming our wounds rather than living from the past and outwardly projecting our anger or sense of betrayal on those who now walk the path with us.

We are the way-showers and with the ever growing light of our rekindled hope and bright spirits we illuminate the path for those who come behind us.  For they are coming.

One of the greatest unquestionable truths is that everything that is alive changes.  The living story of humanity is very much alive and at a critical point and we are writing the story with every thought, word and action.  Remember what an honour and privilege it is to be a part of this great page turning part of our story.  The time of his-story is passed and we step into the sacredness of our-story; Man and woman, king and queen together.  This is the point when you can’t put down the novel you are reading because it’s exciting and you want to know what happens next!

If you want to know what happens next then play your part because this will determine how the story of a New Earth unfolds.  And remember that darkness is just the absence of light.  The truth can only remain hidden by the false for so long.  And what happens in all of our great stories and movies?  Darkness seems to be gathering power throughout the story until something unexpected happens and to our surprise the light returns, often just when we thought that all was lost.  These are the times that we are living.

The darkest hour is indeed often the one before the dawn but if you get still and centred and look towards the horizon with the eyes of your heart, you will see a soft orange glow that is slowly spreading.  This is the impending dawn of a New Age and our New earth.

I look forward to sharing some stories on the road with you as we walk each other home…

(Painting ‘God Speed’ by Edmund Blair Leighton)

When You Walk With Me

When you walk with me you may still meet the unwelcome spectre of unexpressed emotions, old fears that you unknowingly concealed, tucked away in the distant corners of your mind and body.

Like huge shadows cast by small creatures on a large wall, these feelings once became magnified, monstrous demons, shrouded in the ugly garments of shame and guilt.

But now, as quickly as they arise, they slink and diminish from the radiance of our union.

When you walk with me through this forgotten landscape, deep in our bones our knowing grows that we could no longer stay and be what we were told we should be.

With one foot in front of the other, one heart beat after another, one tear, one warm, loving smile after another, we journey through this uncharted realm more swiftly and easily now in our togetherness.

When you walk beside me it is our love that illuminates the way when the moon is hidden and the road is dark.

When we rest for a while I will hold you in gentle, strong arms so that you may know that you are safe and you will soften ever more tenderly, to make space for me in your beautiful, precious, heart.

Please leave your grief by the wayside, for the generations of dishonouring that your sisters, mothers and grandmothers have endured and suffered.

You no longer need your weapons of seduction and emotional prowess, that were honed and sharpened in order to redress the balance of the physical strength that was used against you, instead of to protect you.

Let us travel light for the mantle of our growing trust will keep us warm and safe.

Fear not, for when you stumble and trip I will be there to catch you and we shall breathe for a while, together.

This journey that we travel is not for the faint of heart and yet when you walk beside me, my steps are easier and more often now I notice the flowers unfurling and the trees blossoming as we pass.

I hear the buzzard calling it’s encouragement and feel the warmth of the sun against our smiling faces, streaked with newly shed tears of joyous release, sadness and laughter.

O how blessed I am that this adventure found me and that I found you.

The grey mountains are behind us and the green rolling hills stretch ahead into the distance

And I love the feel of the softness of your hand in mine,

When you walk with me.

Don’t Be Positive Be Real!

We live in a society that insists that we should strive for happiness and this is a valid aspiration but what we are not told is that in order to experience happiness we must also experience sadness.  To deny half of the rich landscape of human emotions is to deny life.

Until we fully surrender to the duality and polarity of this earth realm we cannot know unity and Oneness.  We came here to experience a rich blend of what it is to be human so that we might remember our divinity and yet while we numb, avoid and distract ourselves from the full experience of what it is to be human we remain in limbo.

Much of this is related to having the courage to make the epic journey from our heads back to our hearts where we become acutely attuned to our feelings and emotions. We were taught that good little girls were nice and that big boys don’t cry.  This conditioning is woven deeply into the fabric of our western culture and ironically is the result of massive amounts of suffering in the form of mental and physical dis-ease.

In her book Active Hope, Joanna Macey talks about how the first step to becoming fully committed to service is ‘feeling the grief of the world.’ When we have the courage to return to our hearts we cannot help but be deeply affected and moved by the suffering of children, women, men and all sentient beings.  When we feel this fully we cannot help but be moved to act from a place of love to alleviate the suffering in the world. If the suffering were not so normalised by the media as something that is unavoidable in our modern world we would initially be in a constant state of grief.  Injustice and suffering is usually portrayed as something happening in a far away land that we can do nothing about and has little do with us.  But this is not true.  We are all immensely powerful beings and small acts of kindness and service that are repeated consistently result in massive changes. Every thought, word and action affects the collective of humanity.  This growing awareness, raising of consciousness is what is happening now.  There is a quiet revolution of love taking place beneath the radar and largely ignored by the mainstream media.

It’s not that we are supposed to live in a constant state of grief because there is so much beauty and kindness in the world and the miracle of this being human is something to be grateful for and celebrated every day.  These senses, this incredible mind, these bodies that are each a microcosm of the infinite universe. It’s so massive and incredible that often it is hidden in plain sight until we begin to see with the eyes of the heart.

So I find myself often feeling a blend, a rope that is woven from two strands.  One is sadness at the extent of suffering that we humans perpetuate and the other is sheer joy and gratitude for this unfathomably magical human experience.  The key seems to be that we embrace all of it in its beautiful messiness.  The more we are able to do this the more alive we become and begin moving toward operating at our true potential as beings of light and power as well as flawed humans.  Instead of being engulfed by our emotions, by the inevitable ups and downs of life, we observe them with the innocence of the child of our being.

The more we can be real and honour all of our feelings the more we find peace and the energy that was locked away in denial and numbing and business can be spent on love in action as we go about our lives.  The aspiration to just ‘be positive’ will, in the long term, only cause suffering and is a disguised request to deny the fullness of life and our human experience. We are disempowered in this way and become obsessed with seeking happiness externally through material wealth, false status, external validation and power.  And when we can’t run from the discomfort of our feelings and are engulfed by depression or they manifest as illness we feel shame and guilt for not being positive; we give ourselves a hard time for having a hard time, which only exacerbates our suffering.

It is time to stop worshiping at the altar of positivity and get real.  Feel it all, embrace it all, for in so doing we paradoxically transform the intensity of the pain and we realise that this is it.  There is no promised land, ascension is here and now living from a balance between head and heart, a union of the divine twin flame masculine and feminine energy within each of us.  When we truly embody this a peace descends upon us and we know ‘that all is well and all manner of things shall be well’ and we return to alignment of who we truly are; our present state becomes more infused with love and compassion for ourselves and all our brothers and sisters.

Let’s not be positive, let’s embrace the negative too and watch them both dissolve because both are really just illusions of judgement, let’s have the courage to be real and feel and heal!

Autumn Moments

The brambles, with their spiky tendrils now offer their sweet blackberries too.

Which will you choose?

What path will you take now that you have arrived here?

What treasures of heart and mind have you harvested these long summer days?

What roads have you traveled with sunshine and rain, through the labyrinth of thoughts and emotions?

Who are you now that you were not, before these summer moons had passed?

The adventure of this being human unfolds as we feel the turning of our leaves and a richness within that we have gathered from a collection of myriad moments. gifted to us to arrange and sort and sift through at our pleasure.

Do not miss the opportunity to witness, to observe, to drink in these moments. They are priceless for they are really all we ever have. Sacred moments that tumble and spin together like golden leaves caught in a swirling dance, only to be blown from our memories, though they still leave a subtle trace in our hearts.

O the fleetingness of these moments, the fragility of breath, the beauty, the ugliness, the distorted and the magnificent, the pain and the sheer joy of this human existence at this autumn time.

The cool morning air from the open window is felt upon my human edges.

My skin feel s and my heart feels and all of my body is awash with sensations, tingling, humming, vibrating; I am energy dancing;  fast and frenetic and a slow gentle waltz.

And though the boughs of my life feel heavy at times for they are laden with juicy apples,  this heaviness is welcome for there is a weight of certainty behind my knowing that all is well.

The air is cool and yet the sun will rise again, there will be warmth before the light fades and this day is also done.

The wheel of life keeps on turning and I will watch and learn and feel, ever more fully, more deeply, more gratefully, knowing the sacredness of these autumn moments.

The Rising of the Sacred, Primal Masculine

I feel it rising in me as I deepen my rewilding.  My embracing of my humanness, the earthiness, the darkness deep within the earth is within me too and it is welcome for it will not be denied. It has not always been this way for me and so as I change, I see this changing and rising in brothers that I know too. I am witnessing this masculine energy being purified in women also.  Beneath the thin veneer of male or female bodies we are genderless in the dance of divine masculine and feminine energies.

We are all doing our best and it is a hard road to travel at times. When all the external forces and internal voices of fear attempt to hold us back, to keep us in the false distorted ideas of what a man or a woman is.

I see that central to mans journey to sacred masculinity is to have the courage to feel that which we were afraid to feel. To leave the realm of the head and return to the kingdom of the heart, to transform the old pain so there is potential to experience Life in a way that we never thought possible; to realise that we have been asleep for so long, imprisoned behind the numb bars of the mind.
In the deepest darkest scariest places is where our treasure lies. The feelings of past unexpressed feelings are that dark cave and the treasure is guarded by dragons. But the dragons are actually beautiful when we get to know them, when we begin to dance with fear and ride on the back of dragons miracles happen!

There are millions of wounded men who had no role models, we were shamed by fathers and mothers, our fathers were absent or beat us or mocked us. We were taught that big boys don’t cry so all our pain got locked away. My step mother used to say to me ‘I’ll give you something to cry for.’ when I cried and she would hit me. My tears still do not flow as freely as I would like them to. 🙁

We men need the kindness, compassion and understanding of woman because we too have been abandoned, abused and left feeling lost and disoriented. That doesn’t mean that women should take any shit off us either!! There is a place for soft and tough Love.

Remember that the work we do to reunite the divine masculine and feminine within each of us is not just for ourselves. We are creating a new template for the children and the generations to come. It may take generations before True Love between man and woman becomes the norm but the journey IS the destination. And it may happen in a moment too! We do this work for us and to serve the collective and the innocent children to come. We are the trailblazers and doing this work is a good way to spend our precious time here on planet earth!!

The primal Shakti infused masculine is rising. We men our now give ourselves permission to embody all aspects of sacred masculinity.
Keeping the faith and keeping our hearts open is key. Let’s not make man or woman the enemy. Let’s keep nurturing our tender strength and compassion for ourselves and our brothers and sisters as we continue walking each other home.  We either do this all together or not at all. Namaste <3
